Harford County’s top 10 trails to Hike this Spring

Spring has sprung and it’s time to get outside! Harford County is home to some gorgeous and unique hiking trails. Here is our  top 10 list of the best.

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate

Distance: Varies from 1.9 miles to 1.4 miles at  several locations

Jerusalem Milljerusalem mill

Location: 2813 Jerusalem Road Kingsville, MD 21087

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate

Distance: 4.2 Miles from Little gunpowder trail to Jerusalem Mill trail

Attractions: 

  • Historic Mill
  • Re-enactments
  • Historic Blacksmith demonstrations
  • Live Music events, covered bridge
  • Historic Village.

Difficulty: Moderate

Distance: 1.7 Mile loop

  • Good for Biking

Locations: Falling Branch Area 1026 Falling Branch Road, Pylesville, MD 21132.

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate 

Distance: 1/2 Mile 

Attractions: 17-foot high Kilgore Falls, which is Maryland’s second highest vertical drop waterfall.

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate

Distance: 2 Miles

Attractions:

  • Visitor Center’s hands-on exhibits to learn about Chesapeake Bay ecology
